Sonning U12 (7) v Phoenix U12 (0)

This was the first full size pitch game for some of our U12 squad and they coped admirably. We had a slightly reduced squad due to the TV Mini tournament earlier in the day so we called on a couple of the U13's to help us out. Zach played in goal again and, for the second week in a row, didn't get to try out his kickers - maybe next week!
Phoenix started off strongly but their massive squad of 17 players became too much for their poor coach to organise and their structure fell away allowing Sonning to take advantage. We played really well with some good passing moves with the likes of Freya, Sean and Charlie bossing the midfield. The Press was working well on their 16's and Lisa shouting from the sidelines meant we had good shape which lead to seven goals in total from Sean (2), Katie (2), Aidan, Jorja and Bo.
Special thanks to the two new U14 Umpires from Phoenix taking charge of their first game since completing the Level 1 Umpire course a couple of weeks ago - they did really well.
