Report for February

I should have delegated report writing duties, I've been too busy to do them this month, obviously goes to show what I was doing when I was at work.

Oxford Hawks (A) - going to play our main rivals with a bare 11 in the freezing cold was not the best plan, we didn't create much and got well beaten by a well drilled side

Henley (H) - a game we really should have won against bottom of the League, we've only got 2 points off them this season which has put the dampeners on our surprise promotion push. We were actually behind twice but goals from Littleboy and Weiss managed to nick us a point. MOM went to Dobbie and Joey Elliot got DOD for sitting in the centre backs pocket all game

South Berks (A) - a game in Storm Dennis (or Ciara) where the PB got moved from 12 noon (nice and dry) to 4:30 (horrendous) earning our opposition a DOD nomination. Toons half time prediction of it being a 1-0 game being proved correct with us shading it with a flick from Poults right at the death. Great inputs from Felix and a great debut for Mattias VDW, even though his brother didn't make it to the pitch as he was throwing up in the changing rooms - either food poisoning or pre match nerves - one of the two

Buckingham (H) - a tough game against the posh kids, it was all going swimmingly at half time with goals from Weiss and Poults early doors giving us a nice lead and then an outrageous "upright reverse" from Pat Wall at the top of the D. Buckingham showed us how posh they were though with their Head Coach giving them a team talk and new formation at half time, the shoe was completely on the other foot and we were struggling to keep it together. However, we managed to sneak away with the three points and briefly moved to SECOND IN THE LEAGUE until Hawks leapfrogged us again

Banbury (A) - I wasn't there but apparently it was a great game. Ben VDW, now over his pre match nerves, had a great debut apparently and goals from Weiss (now with easily the most 3s goals since Timmy P was the drag flick master in c. 2014), Ben Allday and Littleboy doing the damage for us. Pat Wall earning another MOM for a great performance and Ben (Allday I assume) for shooting in to his own foot.

So, a last big push for the last few games of the season, despite the fact that we are missing seven players for our game on Saturday - some ingenuity from your Captain required on the Selection front this week I believe!
