Billy's good at Cricket

The scene was set - Banbury made the long trip to the world renowned Sonning, home to international legends like Theresa May and George Clooney, unfortunately neither was able to make the matinee which was the Sonning Mens 1's taking on the Banbury 2's in what was sure to be a thriller from start to finish.

I kind of blacked out most of it, but it was 0-0 at half time. The 2nd half commenced with Cal putting together a nice one two from a short corner to score from close range.

Shortly after we then made it 2-0 with a great team goal scored by unknown Sonning player.

The game tailed off aside from a late short corner routine which was expertly deflected in by yours truly on the post - hence came the well deserved DOTD for - you guessed it - yours truly.

I would like to thank Banbury for travelling all the way to Sonning, i'm sure the return journey will also be less than ideal. I would also like to thank the team for having my back in my moment of weakness on the left post in the dying moments of the game - cheers lads.

A last thank you to the great team in the BCSC clubhouse for the tea at the end.
