The last day of Summer in Winchester

It was a joyous summers day and the Sonning Men’s 1’s could think of nothing better than to drive over an hour in the glorious sun, a massive thank you to Ben Sully for arranging this on such a glorious day, it was such a shame he couldn’t join us for what was to be an absolute thriller at King’s School, Winchester.

Due to the searing hit (there were rumours going around that it could have even hit 20+ degrees), the decision was made to play quarters - a sigh of relief for the bear 11 from Sonning.

Many short corners were scored for both sides, some other things happened, including some naughty cards.

The final score was 4-4.

A big thanks to Winchester for hosting us for a hot and steamy pre-season game.
