Sonning Ladies 5's

The game this weekend started on a cheerful note as the rain held off, the sun was shining and we were all ready to go.

The girls played well, held strong and pulled together, the team this week included 4 youngsters, 1 new player & 3 back to hockey ladies all of us with one common mission: 'Have fun'.

Our team each week has changed but that does not affect us, it makes it more interesting.  We have been very lucky in having some of the experienced but occasional players help us out and this is very beneficial for the youngsters.

4-0 - wow - where do I start on a game that showed so much potential?  I have played all the games so far and each week I am more and more excited to see what the girls will do this week, literally watching confidence grow individually and in each other as a team.  More talking, passing and support is happening each game and it's very encouraging.

Bea (one of our youngsters) got 3 goals and each time she scored she looked more shocked than before but her enthusiasm and eagerness to be involved is paying off and results are showing. 

The 4th goal was from Jill who always plays well and encourages the others to get involved, her experience (plus the others who have helped out) on the field gives us all something to strive towards.
