Seven go to Amersham

A tough selection week with limited availability for the Mighty6s.

Keen to get a run-out, we decided to travel with only 7 players. Sportingly, Amersham gave us a goalie and 3 players - many thanks to the A&C team for such a generous gesture.

Once the game started, Amersham soon pushed forward and had a number of talented youngsters that proved problems for us from the outset. The defence were soon under pressure, but showed great resolve to keep the attacks at bay. We gained a lot of short corner practice! But Amersham were relentless and by half time were up 2-0.

The second half was much more open, probably as few of us were match fit! Having said that, we had much of the ball and pushed further into their half and threatened their defence more. The defence had another good half and kept a clean sheet.

So proud of the team and thanks to my travelling heroes.
