Threes down Hawks
By Chris Roberts
Nearly fluffed it
We nearly let complacency get the better of us and allowed Hawks in to a 1 - 0 lead that seemed against the run of play. However, they nearly got a second before allowing Boseley all the time in the world to tip toe into the circle and unleash the beast from the top of the D. We went in to half time level
A stern talking to at half time meant we came out with all guns blazing in the second half. We didn't have everything our own way but got a couple of short corners and a Timmy flick was given the faintest of touches by Jacob's bizarre run straight across the goal mouth to rob him of a certain goal. Hawks still pushed hard and Pondy made a good double save (only as his first clearance was so rubbish) before we opened them up with speedsters Elliot and Joe combining for a great assist and finish.
We now have a good chance of staying up, provided Henley fail to get any more points!
MOTM Neil, workhorse in midfield
DOTD Jacob, still can't aerial with mentions for Aplin (talked himself into a green when it was our hit anyway) Billy (another green and moaning about the lack of drugs in the first aid kit)
