Sonning Mens 3rd XI vs West Hampstead 4th XI

I hope you are well and off to a cracking start to the week.

And let me just start by stating that I am no wordsmith, but per our "Glorious Leader's" request, please see below the match report for the weekend;

Unfortunately a high paced game came to a rather underwhelming nil nil draw in the end.
Although we got off to a slightly slow start, towards the end of the fist half we regained our composure and were able to dictate much of the remaining play.
A few frayed tempers, some tired legs and frustration leading to a number of cards being dished out but luckily nothing too cynical in the end. And..... Against all odds Nick remaining one of the few without a card, not sure how that happened.

A few near misses to talk about.... Scott, barely getting the ball over the backboard on the final occasion and Harvey politely pushing the ball to the defender after removing the goal keeper from the equation. Sadly we weren't able to find that Magic Bullet in the end and get on the scoreboard after a number of periods of sustained pressure.

A lot of positives to draw from and with a bit of work on the finishing and the set moves we look set for a strong finish to the year.

Lastly, a special mention to Pete for his well deserved MoM performance and Locke for his hard fought yellow.
