SL3s smash Wally

'No regrets' was the mantra this week to ensure we played the very best we could from the very start.

SL3s started the game slowly, finding their feet on a very sticky & slow pitch. SL3s started well, holding our formation with a number of early deliveries into the attacking D. SL3s had opportunities through short corners...with Grove-Smith injecting with accuracy, allowing the SL3s to develop set plays!

With Wally on the break down the left wing Johnson flies in with a crunching tackle...GREEN card!! Moments later Willers blocks (using her stick) and is issued a...GREEN card...with SL3s now playing with 9! the girls did well in defending as a unit and clearing the ball from further danger...despite not having a full squad of 11 players on the pitch for a number of minutes Wallingford were unable to breakdown Goddard, Whitlock and Knight - great effort!!

Just before the 2nd half and with a full squad, SL3s drive the ball forward which is picked up in the D allowing Swanborough to reverse stick strike, through the keepers legs to lead the game 1-0!

The 2nd half began with composure which allowed SL3s to get their heads up and play the right pass...not long after the break Corder places the ball into the back of the net 2-0.
The ball is now in our D with a shot saved on the line by Whitlock's HAND...Penalty Flick awarded!! Wally score from the set piece..2-1.
With Corder dominating the left hand side she receives a lovely pass from M Jones inside the D...before the ball has even crossed the line 'BOOM' is the celebration and we extend the lead even further..3-1.

Happy with the win...and a great team effort!!
