What a game!!

Away to Banbury for our 2nd game of the 2016-17 season. The only knowledge we had on them was that they beat Wallingford 8-1....so we presumed it would be a tough match.
Banbury opened the game with 2 very quick goals putting us on the back foot. SL3s tried to put the brakes on Banbury by quickly identifying their play maker. Hattie Jones was given the task of smothering the oppo's game play and she did a good job.
By the end of the first half SL3s were losing 4-0.
2nd half began positively by SL3s breaking the Banbury defence but narrowly missing the goal.
With team cohesion improved and focus re-established SL3s wanted to limit the goals conceded and revert to 'damage limitation'!
The second half was a lot better with Banbury only scoring a further 3 goals...
First half to Banbury...2nd half to SL3s.
Final score....it doesn't matter!
