I’m pleased to announce that our summer hockey schedule is now upon us, and with 3 options covering all standards, there 100% WILL be something for you.

Starting on May 19th, we’ll have roll-up hockey from 8-9pm at Sonning HC. This is an informal and sociable session aimed at 4th-7th XI players: Just bring £5 cash money, a positive attitude, light & dark shirts, shin-pads, and a stick (we have spares if you’d like to bring mates along).

I am still looking for volunteers to take cash & deposit at the club on a weekly basis for this. Without this help, these sessions cannot run as I have other responsibilities (see below) and cannot be in multiple places at once, so please consider helping out.

As well as a chance to keep fit and stay in touch with your club-mates, this is an ideal time to bring along your friends who might be interested in starting hockey.

This is a perfect time for them to see what the game and what Sonning HC has to offer. For potential new members, the first session will be free of charge with our compliments!

In addition to these sessions, we also have a 1st XI league at Reading HC starting with a first fixture on 28th May, and a Club XI league (2s-3s overall standard, but a mix of players welcome) hosted by Wycombe HC starting June 1st.

If you have not received correspondence for either of these leagues, but feel that you would like to be considered, contact Stephen Ridley (1st XI) or James Lockhart (2nd-4th XI) who will be taking charge of these fixtures.
