Saturday October 1st is the start of our league season, we all have big games and there is no better way to celebrate with friends and reminisce on great hockey prowess from the day than a SHC club night. The first official club night of the year is Sonning Hockey Clubs very own 'Hocktoberfest'. For the uninitiated, Oktoberfest is a German born celebration following the wedding of the crown prince in 1810... Pubs and beer became a part of the annual celebration and fast forward 106 years and add our hockey club and we have SHC Hocktoberfest.

Tickets are £10 a head which will include your food (a German delicacy of sausage (vegetarian lentil burger option will be available and for any other alternatives please speak to chef Ollie), sauerkraut and and potato stomppot) and your very own beer stein. There will be traditional music and a selection of David Painter's favourites as well as some table activities following the meal.
