SONNING 1-1 SOUTH BUCKS
6th October 2007

Another 1-1 draw for Sonning 5s, 2 weeks on the trot.

Again Sonning went ahead only to concede a goal three minutes later. Sonning, although dominating the opposition thoughout with possession, could not capitalise on their opportunities against a South Bucks team fielding only ten players. Sonning may live to rue some of their missed shots later in the season.

The goal came courtesy of Tim Hill making a South Bucks defender look the fool with a dummy allowing him to enter the D and stick a ball under the flailing keeper. Assist from Steve 'Girder' Workman on his Sonning debut. South Bucks soon paid Sonning back through a goal that should have been avoided.

Back to South Bucks club house where we were provided with two jugs to set us up for the first Sonning club night, no teas but remember - eating's cheating!

Man of the match: Brendan Toger
