SONNING 3 - 1 MILTON KEYNES

After the long drive to Milton Keynes, Sonning are usually a bit sluggish to start. But, this week, the team was up for the game from the start and dominated the opening minutes.

Both teams were struggling with the bouncy pitch but Sheena managed to get on the end of a goal mouth scramble to take the score to 0-1. Not long after, Sue Paterson creamed the ball from the edge of the D to take the score to 0-2 at half time.

MK came out much stronger after the break and forced a couple of short corners, one of which they converted with a strong strike, which slipped between a defender and the post.

This re-awakened the Sonning side, who upped their game for the remainder of the match. Player of the match, Rennee, scored the team's third goal not long before the final whistle.
