SONNING 5 - 0 MARLOW

Following their battering the week before, Sonning Ladies 3s were determined to go out strongly at the offset. Boosted by the return of some players from injury, other teams, Uni and severe hangovers, the team started strongly and dominated the midfield possession for the first 20 minutes of the game.

With Sonning's defence rarely threatened, Sonning took the lead through a well positioned tap in by Kelly Corder. Just before half time Kelly again converted a cross to end the first half Marlow 0 Sonning 2.

Marlow came out strong in the second half and gained several short corners and chances which were somehow cleared off the line and out of danger by the defensive quartet.

The team's top goal scorer and player of the match Emma Dalton, was determined to get her name on the score sheet and quite literally threw herself at every opportunity in the attaching D. This acrobatic tactic, combined with some lovely skills saw Emma slot home three goals before the full-time whistle blew.
