SONNING 1 - 2 PHOENIX & RANELAGH
17th November 2007

It was a cold and misty morning at Braywick. Sonning started strongly, with our passing game coming together and some good pressure on the Phoenix goal. A few shots missed by inches but we were unable to convert our chances. At the end of the half it was 0-0, we were happy with our game against the top team in the league. Our defence were having a particularly good game.

In the second half, Phoenix lifted their game and scored a lovely goal into the corner from a shot corner. They followed it up with another goal following a sequence of scrappy play. 2-0 to Phoenix.

A green card for the opposition for a bad tackle and the opposition began to get frustrated as Sonning began to play more strongly earning a goal to bring the final score to 2-1 to Phoenix.
