SONNING 0 - 1 HENLEY

It was nice to have an away game so close to home, just up the road in Henley. We warmed up well but started a bit sluggishly although we had the ball up in attack a few times in the first 10 minutes.

Henley though were on good form, with a bit more urgency after the ball and some fluid passing. They had some luck early on when Rose jumped over a shot, convinced it was from outside the D, but the umpire and opposition thought otherwise. 0-1 to Henley. They had some more chances in the first half, hitting the post once, but no-one scored again.

After halftime and a needed rev up from Geoff and Mei, Sonning came out playing much better. We had more of the midfield and attack but the Henley defence was strong. Yas and Kristina both made runs past the defence but we didn't convert, despite a couple of short corners on the final whistle. A tight game overall. Final score 0-1 to Henley.
