SONNING 0 - 2 WALLINGFORD

Following a sold team performance last week, Sonning were away to Wallingford this week for what promised to be an exciting match.

Sonning got off to a strong start, passing the ball around with confidence and ease. Unfortunately the opposition were given a chance at goal following an unlucky pass from the back, and scored from the opening with which they had been provided. Sonning did not sit back and continued to create many chances throughout the game, sending the ball just wide of the goal on several occasions and even hitting the post in one instance. Just as it looked like Sonning were about to pull back an equaliser, Wallingford were able to score from a penalty corner after the initial strike was deflected off a defender into the path of a waiting forward, who put the ball over the goal line at close range.

The final scored ended 2-0 to Wallingford, an unfortunately scoreline for Sonning who had worked hard throughout the game.
